Nothing feels more like home… until you meet the one that adds to it.

Sometimes we take advantage of the accessibility to brush their newborn feet and hold their newborn hand.

But do we really realize how time freezes when you hold those newborn photos?

When we hit a new milestone, reflections often times sound like “I miss when they were little”.

But what if you could see when they’re little? Just with a few clicks to your newborn gallery.

Looking back at moments you never knew were so sacred to have in your hands is why I always push for newborn sessions.

Two familiar places, meeting in one moment. 🤍

Once, this was the place where she grew—safe beneath Mom’s heart, surrounded by the warmth and rhythm she already knew.

Now, her little hand rests there, on the very place where her baby sibling is growing.

Soon, they’ll both be Earthside—no longer separated by time or a belly, but together in the familiar places they’ll come to know as home: Mom’s arms, their family, and each other.

There’s something so beautiful about knowing that the place that once held one of them is now preparing to hold them both in an entirely new way.

I took a break of my position behind the lens and I stepped in front of it…

Here’s what I learned:

-Chaos is beauty

Like many of my clients, I was worried about if my kids would cooperate or not. None of that even mattered and it doesn’t reflect an ounce in these photos. I didn’t feel pressured, and neither should you. Kids will be kids and that’s the point… isn’t it?

A photographic moment isn’t about the way your photo is taken, but about the way you feel when it’s sitting in your hands.

That’s why your photographer matters. Beauty is all in the chaos

They tell you motherhood will change your life.

What they don’t tell you is how quietly it happens.

One day, you’re rocking them to sleep. The next, they’re running ahead of you. The tiny fingers that once wrapped around yours begin reaching for the world instead.

You don’t notice the last contact nap, the last bottle, the last time they ask to be carried. Those moments slip away without asking for permission, leaving behind memories you wish you could relive just one more time.

Motherhood has taught me that the ordinary moments are the ones that become extraordinary with time.

Maybe that’s why photography means so much to me.

Because while I can’t stop time, I can preserve the moments we’ll someday ache to remember. 🤍

There’s something amazing that occurs when introducing a child to faith.

It’s hard to put into words, but you can feel it. Hope. Peace. The kind of love that reminds you God has been holding them long before any of us ever could.

Watching my two youngest nieces be baptized was one of those moments that makes time slow down. You look at these little lives and can’t help but wonder about all the places they’ll go, all they’ll become, and all the ways God will continue to shape their hearts. My prayer is that no matter where life leads them, they always find their way back to Him.

Days like this are exactly why photography means so much to me. Long after the dresses are put away, the church is quiet, and these little girls are grown, these photographs will still tell the story of where their journey of faith began.

What a beautiful day to remember. All of heaven rejoices🤍✝️

One day I’ll peel these stickers off my rug.

But today? They stay.

Because one day the tiny hands that placed them here won’t be so tiny anymore. The messes, the fingerprints, the little “decorating projects”; they’re all part of this season I’ll wish I could visit again.

Maybe that’s why I became a photographer.

Not because life is perfect, but because it’s fleeting. I want to remember the beautiful, ordinary moments that become the memories we miss the most.

So no… don’t take the stickers off. 💛
