My mom has several of my childhood drawings hanging up, including this one.

I have always loved to draw horses but I wasnt a big fan of art class...

I wanted to create what I wanted, I didnt want to draw/paint other things I had no interest in. Pretty sure I get that from mom amd grandma! Haha!

I think thats also why I try not to influence the kids who come to my studio to create. I show them tricks and techniques but try to let them do it their way.

As my mom and grandma say "I'll do it my own damn wrong way!" 🤣🤣

Anyways, dont be afraid to march to your own beat! Im so glad I found my way back to art after my boys were born.

What hobbies have you left behind but may want to revisit in the future?

Who else has been holding their breath while watching this Unicorn make an insane comeback?!

Hes already become a horse I want to see year after year at the Thomas & Mack.

If you could bring back one horse from the past to see run one more time in Vegas who would it be? Should we do a poll?

Im not sure I could choose just one...

Watching this wonderful woman create such amazing pieces brings me so much joy!

Her paintings just have a way of making my soul happy ♥️

More progress on this 20"x40" cattle drive!

I caught myself staring at it, realizing I am starting to sense the bend of the creek in the background, and see the rest of the landscape start to build and soften .. the second cowboy is taking shape, and that striped button up he's wearing is gonna mean I take the canvas off the easel and lay it on the table to stitch with the finest brush 😅
GOODNESS all of this is a first for me.. I'm glad nobody films me while I paint 🤣

Whos ready for December?!

Last year I was blessed to have the opportunity to draw the one and only Adios Pantalones with a reference photo from the incredibly talented Samantha Dawn - Equine Photography (go check her out, trust me ♥️)

Ziggy is one of the zebras at the B Bryan Preserve and they are raising money for their great program.

This piece will be donated to them to help them reach their goal and hes almost finished!
