Following a shooting that took place around 10pm, the Lawton police department have a home surrounded at the 1900 block of NW Williams and are working to get individuals possibly involved out of the home.

Lawton Police, Fire and EMS respond to a shooting that took place on the 1900 block of NW Williams. According to scanner traffic, two victims drove to the CVS at Sheridan and Cache prior to first responders arrival. We will update when more details are available. KSWO7News

Update: The Chevy Equinox was southbound on 67th before departing the roadway for an unknown reason. The suv continued until striking a culvert and overturning and coming to rest upside down. The driver was taken by EMS to be treated for minor injuries.

Original post: Rollover wreck on SW 67th just south of SW Tinney road in Comanche County. One person had to be extricated from the vehicle. They’re expected to be taken by EMS after sustaining minor injuries. KSWO7News

Seeing more damage on the east side of Lawton as well as southeast towards SE Goodin and Tinney road along SE 60th. While helping the the pastors family of Trinity Assembly recover their steeple that was torn off during last nights storm, I was told a vehicle went off the roadway of SE Willshire Terrace and struck a home.

Electric crews along SE 60th and SE 45th and working diligently to get these poles replaced and power restored. Please avoid those areas as roads may be impassable in some places while crews are working.

One person is in LPD custody after leading law enforcement on a brief pursuit.

Around 2pm, OHP was notified of a pursuit involving a black suv heading southbound on Sheridan road from SW Coombs rd. Soon after, dispatch notified they were northbound on I-44 from mile marker 30 and reaching speeds of 120. The pursuit was called off after the SUV exited the interstate and took off westbound on Lee blvd.

Nearly 30 minutes later, calls began to come in describing an SUV matching the description pulled over on SE Goodin rd, just east of SE Trail. Further scanner traffic notified responding law enforcement that a male was traveling eastbound with a gas can. It wasn’t long before multiple law enforcement agencies arrived on scene and took the male into custody.

Further details will either be provided via court documents or releases from the arresting department. KSWO7News
