CSX Transportation train C785 crosses the Monocacy River on the Old Main Line on its way to Baltimore on 9/6/26. Leading this train is CSXT1902 which is painted in the Clinchfield Railroad heritage scheme, with help from CSXT142 and mid train helpers CSXT974 and CSXT824.

The next batch of America 250 engines were heading home yesterday, 9/5/26, via Norfolk Southern's 12Z. I photographed them as they were entering NS yard at Shenandoah, Va. These railroads were the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railway, East Penn Railroad, Reading & Northern, and Norfolk Southern.

Yesterday, I caught Norfolk Southern's 12Z at Luray, Va on its trip north to Enola, Pa. This train was returning several engines which attended the America 250 Locomotive Celebration at Spencer, NC. to their home railroads. These included the Buffalo & Pittsburgh, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Naugatuck Railroad, and Norfolk Southern. 9/3/26

Yesterday morning we stopped by Blackwater, looking for osprey and they put on quite a show. They must have been hungry since they spent most of the time soaring over the water looking for food. Of course caring for your mate is sharing your meal.
