Happy AAPI/Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month! 🇵🇭🌺☀️

Here’s a project for the culture! If you’re new here, my photography name is Tadhana Visions. Tadhana is the Filipino word for “Destiny/Fate.” Whatever I experienced in my past lives has led me to be where I am at this moment which is to create art and emphasize your true self/true beauty.

I wanted to execute a session that showed my culture in both the modern and traditional ways. I’m so proud to be a Filipina and even more proud to see that our ancestors’ beauty can still be seen in the faces of our women today. What a privilege that is!

Filipino women are historically shaped by a matriarchal culture alongside Catholic and indigenous spiritual values. We are often described as assertive, respectful, and family-oriented, balancing traditional values with modern aspirations. And that’s what I wanted to create in this photosession which came out perfectly.

I mean look at my girls? So so beautiful! 🌹🇵🇭❤️

Don’t forget to celebrate and respect your own heritage as well as the heritages of your neighbors and friends.
