🖤🧡CLOSED AUGUST 8-14 for STURGIS🧡🖤

Back in 2012, an innovator at the School of Mines embarked on a research project to uncover what draws people to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This science enthusiast also happened to be a badass biker, Craig Bailey, who is very much alive and thriving, known for being "hard to kill, quick to heal."

In recent years, Craig has enlisted fellow bikers skilled in photography, videography, auto detailing, drawing, public speaking, and editing to form a team. Together, we are Sturgis Productions LLC, also known as the STURG PROS.

Every year, we dive headfirst into the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, partying with the best while interviewing interesting individuals and capturing the essence of the event. With no filters, no rules, and consistent questions, we’ve been documenting the phenomenon.

Now, with the STURG PROS backing Craig’s research project, blending our expertise with our knack for having a good time, we’re creating a documentary you won’t want to miss.

Wyatt Balliew ~ Douglas High School ~ Team 27

This time, we met up at the school track where Wyatt thrives! Check out some of these stats…

He holds the middle school records in the 1600m, 800m and 4x800m. He holds the high school record for the 800m run and placed 6th at state this year with a time of 1:55.91.

Top 10 in state XC multiple years in highschool. Placed 28th at the Augustana Twilight meet with 513 runners across multiple states. 2025 South Dakota AA All-State Team.

Wyatt Balliew ~ Douglas High School ~ Team 27

He's an athlete, a scholar, a well-rounded senior.
Wyatt has a very impressive hockey and cross country record. Plus, he’s already knocked out seven college courses sustaining a 3.97 GPA (National Honors Society & Anchored 4 Life Member).

Wyatt is looking forward to attending college for Civil Engineering with a focus on Surveying at either Colorado State, Montana State, or School of Mines. Any college will be lucky to have him!

For his birthday, Colin (a literal walking miracle if you didn’t know!) asked his parents for family portraits including his grandparents. If that doesn’t melt your heart, keep reading.

I DO believe this is the smiliest family I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing. Ironically, grandma warned me I’d need luck getting grandpa to smile. But with his lovely wife of 57 years by his side, all I witnessed was him grinning ear to ear.
