‼️LIFE UPDATE‼️

I haven’t been taking on new clients in quite a little while, and thought I might update you all on some exciting news!! My beautiful family and I are adding S’MORE love, and are expecting baby Boy Robinson in February, 2024.

Because of how sick I have felt, I haven’t wanted to commit to photography services, because I’d never want to cancel or offer less than amazing services because I’m not feeling well.

We are well into our 2nd trimester and I’m still not feeling my best, so I wanted to update that Acts Photography will be taking a pause until further notice. I’ll still be actively working to serve the needs of CASA, and remain on the Board of Directors, so stay tuned for updates there, but I’ll be closing all other sessions.

All of that to say….. if you are needing your photos taken, I would love to recommend Kayla Bourne with KB Photography. She is a perfectionist, a joy to interact with, and offers similar services and pricing as Acts Photography has offered our Clients. Please reach out to her for your photography needs. Another gallery I’ve kept secret…. Accidentally! I need to get better about sharing! FUN FACT: We had an abnormal fall and lost almost all of our beautiful fall leaves overnight. You’d never be able to tell after a little filling in of the bare trees! 🍁🍂

This momma told me that we probably wouldn’t be able to get one good photo with everyone looking, and while it was hard, I think we did good! We were able to capture so many posed images, but my absolute favorite images are most always the unposed ones.

I always start our sessions natural and organic. Kiddos need time to warm up. Once they know me and think I’m funny, it gets way easier to get them to want to look at me. But, even when they aren’t looking, the magic in their sweet youth is still being captured. 📸💕

Such a fun session! When mom reached out to me, she warned me that she had a very active little girl. She was worried that it might be too hard to capture a good family photo. I assured her that we’d get it done — I’m not above looking completely ridiculous to get kiddos to photograph well. 😂

When they arrived, I didn’t try to pose for perfection, I just wanted to connect with the sweet kiddos, explain the camera, let them push the button, see how the flash works and then I just captured everything in between. It honestly turned out to be such a Joy! (mom, if you’re reading this, see what I did there ☺️)

When I sent over the viewing gallery, mom wrote me and said “wow, I didn’t think these would come out this good! Not because of you, but because of how active they were!”

I took about 1,200 photos in this session, but boy did we end up with some gems.

I am terrible about getting all of my sessions out of my Client galleries and onto social media, but this one…. This one is special!

Lauren reached out to me because her parents were going to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, they had lost all of their wedding photos, and only had one image from their special day all of those years ago. I was able to re-create some of their favorite wedding images and do a special portrait session to honor their 50 years of marriage.

Frank and Maria, you two are truly an inspiration. I hope you cherish these photos for generations to come 💕📷

‼️ B O O K E D until end of April! 📸📸📸

When I first started this company in October of 2022, I wasn’t planning on taking new Clients until January of 2023, but, — YOU GUYS had different plans for me. I quickly booked October, November, then December! I was mind blown, then panicked slightly. The support was overwhelming. It still is! Now, here we are, the first week of February - and I am booked until end of April.

My goals for starting this company were two-fold. 1.) To raise awareness to an organization so near and dear to my heart, that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops — CASA. An organization filled with amazing volunteers that advocate for all of the sweet children in foster care within our community, and 2.) To fulfill something within my heart that I am so incredibly passionate about — capturing memories for people to enjoy forever, specifically children in foster care and families who wouldn’t be able to have professional photography done in most cases.

In the three short months that Acts Photography has been in business we have accomplished so much. Aside from all of the beautiful families I have had the privilege to capture, I’ve also been able to capture real estate listings (including a 4 million dollar listing!), professional headshots for various local firms, special events, became the photographer for our local CASA organization, photographed sporting events (including being on field for a TEXAS RANGERS game!), met new friends I’ll love forever, donated services to help local Aledo efforts, donated services to Miracle League Dreams, and most importantly was able to give back to the CASA program in ways I never could have done without this company and YOUR support. So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for supporting this dream of bringing my passion and my mission together in such a beautiful way.

Day 12 of 25 days of Christmas! 🎄🎅

Meet the photographer / founder of Acts photography! ❤️ First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus, wife to the most incredible man who continues to grow better over the years, momma to my two boys that give me the best title I’ll ever have (mom!). I’m a director for an architecture/design firm that specializes in hospitality design (hotels, resorts, entertainment). In my free time, I am here to serve all of your photography needs, while raising awareness to CASA, an organization that provides advocacy to children in foster care to ensure safety and permanency.

I love doing anything with my family, from camping and adventures, to watching movies by the fireplace - anything we do together makes my soul feel happy.

Yesterday, Chad and I celebrated our “met you anniversary” and we just so happened to get our pictures taken too! This photo was a quick selfie from my phone, but I can’t wait to share the professional ones captured by our sweet friend, who is also a photographer.

Well, I missed day 9, but skipping right ahead… Day 10 of 25 days of Christmas! 📸🎄🎅

Today was another CASA Santa Event and it’s such an honor and privilege to get to be the photographer for these amazing events. The smiles, positivity, community and overall effort of all of the incredible volunteers making it all possible is truly a sight to see.
