Make Mesilla your weekend tradition.

A visit to Mesilla is so much more than a stop at the market it’s a full day waiting to unfold.

Start your morning at the Mesilla Mercado, strolling beneath the trees of the Historic Plaza as you meet local artists, farmers, makers, and small businesses bringing our community together.

Then keep wandering.

Step inside one of the Southwest’s most distinctive shopping districts, where dozens of locally owned shops are tucked inside historic adobe buildings that have stood for generations. Browse art, jewelry, clothing, gifts, antiques, books, handcrafted goods, and the unexpected treasures you only find when you give yourself time to explore.

When you’re hungry, Mesilla delivers there too.

Grab coffee at a neighborhood café where the barista will greet you by name. Settle in for a relaxed lunch on a patio. Or make a reservation and experience some of the finest dining southern New Mexico has to offer.

And when the sun begins to drop behind the river, don’t rush home. Across Mesilla, restaurants, patios, bars, and gathering spaces regularly come alive with live music and the unmistakable energy of a New Mexico evening.

Come for an hour and you’ll wish you had the day.

Come for the day and you may just start making it a tradition.

Butler Produced once.

He actually did. I grew up off Watson lane and I remember him outside this building and in his fields. My old neighborhood.

Lost in the Light
Wayne Suggs Photography

I'm choosing this photo to post for Wayne as he's still out on an adventure. This is one of my favorite White Sands photos. It seems the light at White Sands is always so bedazzling no matter what the conditions. That, coupled with vegetation that makes one wonder, "how in the world can that survive here??".
There are very few places like this and I consider us very lucky to have it just a short drive away. Happy Sunday!

Organ Mountain Prickly Pear
Wayne Suggs Photography
I, Kiki, am posting for Wayne as he is in Big Bend leading a workshop right now. This is an older photo, but one of my favorites and one that we have hanging in our office.
One of my favorite things about summer is the ripening of the prickly pears and making prickly pear lemonade with them. This bunch in the Organ Mountain foothills proudly displays it's bounty under an afternoon stormy sky.
