Step into the past and make something that lasts.

Join me for a hands-on Wet Plate Collodion Workshop here in the Appalachian Mountains—a one-of-a-kind experience rooted in 19th-century photography. You’ll learn the full process from start to finish: pouring collodion, sensitizing your plate, exposing in camera, and developing your image by hand.

This isn’t digital. This isn’t instant. It’s slow, deliberate, and a little unpredictable—in all the best ways.

Each participant will leave with their own handmade tintype and a deeper understanding of this rugged, historic craft. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and embrace the process.

Spots are limited to 4. Book your spot soon.

Had a great time this weekend teaching the mad science art of Tin Types this weekend at the incredible Painted Buffalo Makers Workspace. Thank you for hosting, Jess and thank you for everyone that braved the heat to come out and learn.

Got to show family what it is I actually do and get some incredible plates today. My nephew AJ did an amazing job giving off that 1900s Appalachian look.

Had a great time showing fellow studio partner how to make tin types today. It’s so crazy special watching people get excited and nervous make their first plates. was looking dapper in front of the lens. You both did a great job.
