From the very beginning, God designed us for relationship—deep connection, shared life, and love that reflects His heart. This is why marriage is more than just a union… a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church body.

God gave you each other for the hills—those radiant moments of joy: laughter echoing in your home, answered prayers, new adventures, quiet mornings wrapped in comfort, celebrations, and the beauty of growing old together.

But He also gave you each other for the valleys—times of loss, addiction, grief, doubt, waiting, and those unseen battles that test your faith and love. The moments when you feel your world is crashing down around you & there’s only you and your (husband or wife) in that valley.

True intimacy in marriage is not just found when you’re standing on the mountaintops but it is felt when you lace up your boots and actively choose to draw closer to each other in the valley—leaning on each other and on God. God promises, “Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am with them” (Matthew 18:20).

Marriage is not just love—it’s a covenant forged in fire and watered by the continual pouring out of grace. It’s stewardship and care of the vessel God gifted you. It’s sacrificial. It’s a labor; a sacred walk home. Shoulder to shoulder, with Christ as your yoke and strength.

No matter the hills or valleys, you are never alone. You were made for this journey together. 🤍

Okay okay okay. Let’s clear this up 😅

A few weeks ago I posted a reel saying “I will never understand why anyone would leave Pennsylvania to get married somewhere else”—with footage from Glacier National Park.

Yes… it was entirely sarcastic & oh my… YES our page blew up. Hundreds of thousands of views, loads of comments & DMs. It’s been so crazy to see this thing blow up.😅

Truth is, Pennsylvania has so many stunning places to elope or get married—like Hawk Mountain, Colton Point Overlook, Ricketts Glen, or Big Pocono State Park. The views? Unreal.

For us, Montana was the dream and for some others there are orher states that draw them.

All this to say, Whether you stay in your home state or travel across the country to say your vows, what matters most is that it feels right for YOU. ❤️
