Try as He Might

Behind the scenes, close-ups, and a few words on patience and self-doubt: http://www.zukephotography.com/blog/2016/5/19/behind-the-scenes-try-as-he-might

"As hard as you might try and as dedicated you are to something or someone, sometimes things don't always work in your favor or don't turn out as you expected them to be. This is how the world works, unfortunately; we aren't all granted a fairytale story or ending. Maybe it doesn't make sense now, maybe it never will, but it's important to adapt to your surroundings the whole way through, though."

Basking in Springtime
Model: Marsha Denlinger

I've started shooting more portraits recently and I'm really falling in love with it again after not doing this type of work for a while now. The weather is warmer, birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and it's time again to get back out there and create! New projects are slowly in motion and some exciting trips are on there way with some really amazing people. Keeping my head up with what feels like having the world on my shoulders.

I hate to say it, but I'm in a tight financial bind (you know, from getting hit by a car and missing months of shoots for work) I'm still dealing with these injuries and I'm trying to get my life back together, at least to some normalcy.

Slowly now, I'm returning to work again for my company. This year I made a resolution to focus more on my art and really take the next step in my business. While I've been working on new projects, planning shoots, networking, collaborating, I'm now at a point where I'm at a standstill before I can more forward. Between bills and necessities, art is sadly on the back burner.

I would love to find a good home to some of the limited edition 16"x16" prints I currently have. I only have a handful at the moment, and I'm dropping the price a bit more than 25 percent off for the value of one Ben Franklin (+shipping)! This will help me run a single print proof test-run with a new company I'm looking forward to using to produce my work on from this point forward (if proof passes I'll sell it!), and finally make more of my images available to the world, which in turn will help me get a leg up on some of my other projects, like an online store, and photo trips planned for later this year.

I believe (after months of looking in my local Philly area and scouring the interwebs) I've found a company that will not only print my work in large-scale, like I'm talking 7-FEET LONG, but also is certified with using and producing photographs on a museum quality archival textured fine art paper that I've really fallen in love with over the years.
