"Sometimes you have to create what you want to be a part of."

I believe this with everything in me. Sometimes what we seek doesn't exist yet.

My favorite creation lately has been connecting a group of women from various walks of my life - in doing so I have created a powerful group of friends where we all can find support, love, nurturing, and where we get called on our junk when it's needed! I am so thankful for these ladies.

With the holidays fast approaching everything seems to move at a rapid pace -- I was feeling the pressure of getting it all done and I felt like I was missing out on the opportunity to take things in. Rushing makes me feel unsettled. So, I finally did the unthinkable! I started getting up early - like 5am early - to enjoy a little quiet time. I love to sit with my coffee and enjoy the sunrise before I jump into my day...

What are your secrets for making the most of your time during this busy month?

Christmas is such a nostalgic time for me. I was blessed with a mother who made Christmas magical when I was a kid. My favorite memory has always been flying down the stairs on Christmas morning to see the beautiful tree lit up before the sun was up -- I love the glow it casts in the room. Today I look forward to decorating the house with our kids and seeing their excitement for the holiday season.

I was so excited to spend time with the Bradshaw family...they are definitely fun to be around. We had the opportunity to capture some great ones in the beauty near their home. I love that the fall colors have lasted a bit longer this year and that they added a little pop of color in our capture tonight! Thanks for sharing your family with me!

A few sneak peaks from tonight -- what a beautiful location for tonight's photo shoot! And what a privilege to capture this family -- one that has adopted me since my move to SC. They brought fun, a little silliness, and a lot of love tonight and I think we did a great job of capturing all of it!

What an amazing weekend spent in the mountains of North Carolina.

This weekend I had the opportunity to join 90 other women at my church women's retreat in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. Laughter was had, tears were shed, and I came to know with a little more certainty God's direction in my life lately.
