NBC San Diego has posted a few of my photos from Adams Ave Unplugged:

Little Feat's Fred Tackett and Paul Barrere headlined Adams Avenue Unplugged on Saturday, April 28. Local musicians Robin Henkel and Raena Jade also performed at the largely acoustic festival.

Happy Monday, Troubadourians! No sooner do I finish with an issue, I start thinking of the next... and the next... and the next. Tons of fun in the May issue with Steve Wilcox, a most delightful fellow and a talented musician in his own right. He's been playing with Sue Palmer and before that, Candye Kane for years. It's time to celebrate the side men! So glad to get to know you better, Steve Wilcox! This is from a photo shoot with Steve Covault in Balboa Park last week.

I just learned that Jim Rodford has died. Jim played bass guitar for Argent, The Kinks and later with the Zombies. Here's a pic I took of him performing with the Zombies at an amazingly good show at the Belly Up in 2006.

The Boston Herald is reporting that J. Geils has died at age 71. He was found unresponsive, apparently from natural causes, in his home in Groton, Massachusetts.

I took this photo of him at the Ramona Mainstage club (Ramona, California) in December of 2012.

He was a great talent, a passionate blues guitar player, and will be greatly missed.
