When reached out, I knew I wanted this session to feel less like chapter photos and more like a fully built atmosphere. Ayres Hall gave us everything we needed: rigid stair lines, worn classrooms, chalkboards that still felt active even when empty. I used hard directional flash and wider framing to make the images feel sharper, more controlled, and a little tense in a way that matched their concept perfectly.
Sigma Sigma Rho understood the vision immediately. They moved as a unit instead of as individuals, which completely shifted the energy of the shoot and turned it into something far more intentional than a typical group session.
The Vol Portrait Project has always been at its best when people come in with ideas they actually care about, and this was one of those shoots from start to finish. If your organization, team, or group has a concept you’ve been wanting to bring to life… reach out. 🍊 Let’s keep pushing this project into places that feel unexpected. 🤌🏻
