Star Noir Studio is a non-traditional, artistic photography studio specializing in natural light photography. Based in East Tennessee, we travel to some of the most beautiful places in the Smoky Mountains to capture memories for those who want a fun, stress-free wedding day or portrait session. We will always love a gorgeous pair of heels, but there’s something extra fun about a bride who chooses sneakers for her wedding day. These soft gray Vans paired with a bouquet of white tulips and lavender feel relaxed, romantic, and perfectly suited for an adventure in the woods. 🌿✨

One of our favorite things about photographing weddings is seeing how couples make traditions their own. Your wedding doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Wear the sneakers. There’s something special about wandering through the Smoky Mountains and discovering places that seem to transport you to another time. Weathered wood, old pathways, mountain greenery, and historic structures create the kind of scenery that makes us want to stop, explore, and—of course—pull out the camera.

One of our favorite things about being destination photographers is documenting more than weddings. Travel gives us the chance to capture the character of the places we visit, from historic buildings tucked into the mountains to castles in Scotland, beaches in California, ancient streets overseas, and all the unexpected beauty we find along the way. 🌎✨
