Hey y’all! 🤎
Since we’ve had so many new faces and followers around here lately, I figured it was time to introduce myself!
I’m Alyssa Bankson, the face behind the camera at Buckin’ B Photography.
Outside of photography, I’m a ranch wife and proud mama to my wonderful husband, Colby, and our sweet baby boy, Roper. They are my biggest supporters and the reason I get to chase this dream every single day.
I’ve been doing photography on and off for several years. Back when I lived in East Tennessee, it was always a side gig that I loved. But after moving to Kansas, getting married and having Roper, I just wasn’t ready to send him to daycare. My incredibly supportive husband and I sat down, prayed about it, and decided it was time to take the leap and go all in. We turned Buckin’ B Photography into my full-time career, and it has truly been one of the greatest blessings.
Because of all of you, I get to stay home with my beautiful little boy while building a business that I absolutely love. For that, I’ll always be grateful.
Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from weddings, engagements, maternity sessions, seniors, and families to equine sales and so much more. But my heart has always belonged to the western way of life. We live it every day—Colby is a team roper, and I’m a barrel racer—so capturing this lifestyle comes naturally to me.
These days you’ll usually find me behind the camera at rodeos, barrel races, team ropings, practice pens, bucking horse events, ranches, and anywhere the western lifestyle takes us. My goal is to capture the real moments—the grit, the victories, the hard work, and the memories you’ll want to look back on for years to come.
If you’re looking for someone to capture your western lifestyle, your family, your horses, or any special season of life, I’d love to visit with you and help bring your dream photos to life.
Thank you for being here, supporting this small business, and following along on this journey. It truly means the world to my family and me. I can’t wait to meet more of you and tell your stories through my lens.
