So… what did you do this weekend… ///
I want to thank my good friend Brett for bringing me out this past weekend to experience some of my “dream cars” that I hope to make a reality someday.
Plenty of people ask me… which one was your favorite? Out of the set, which one would you go out and buy? As much as I’d hate to say it… as mainstream as it sounds, I would have to go with the Porsche GT3 Touring. I am quite fond of the minimal styling compared to the GT3 RS. Maybe I’m becoming old, but the whole wing / sticker / aero thing on the GT3 RS just isn’t my thing. Another benefit to this particular Porsche GT3 is not only the manual transmission but also the physical buttons and gauges. This day and age, I can’t stand having a screen in my driving experience… Anyways, the GT3 Touring, in my opinion, looks far better than its GT3 RS sister. I’m sure someone can fully educate me on the differences in performance, but I like what I like… I do have to mention the Ferrari F12 fights really hard against the Porsche. You can argue that the Porsche can beat it on most tracks, etc., but I can also argue the GT3 is too… mechanical… too much of a tool… which is a weird statement to make and explain. The F12 has something that the GT3 doesn’t really have, and that is emotion. The screaming V12 emits an absurdly beautiful sound from the Italian gods that not many others can replicate. The car feels less like a tool or an appliance and more like a person with a vivid personality. Thanks for reading my mini rant / Ted talk…. Time to bust my ass for a Porsche…
