What better camera to take to an Indiana Jones event than the camera from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? That was the plan, but unfortunately, this is the only photo that came out. That's what test rolls are for: to figure out what problems the camera might have. It is a bit funny that the photo that came out was the silly double exposure we weren't even sure was gonna work.

The Indys were causing such a stir that the other parkgoers were taking notice. We got swarmed by a local college's photography club (slide 6), many of whom were carrying film cameras (and definitely took notice of my Canon 7 and Argus FA). One group with a speaker played "Whip It" by Devo, to which a few of us obliged. On another note, how about the quality of this Fujifilm Acros stock? My Canon LTM lenses always pair well with B&W film, but this stuff let me pull off some absolutely gorgeous photos. Shoutout to the folks at the film counter at for recommending it.

Burbank Haunts

Beginning my post-Halloween decompression, starting with and The Cursed Kingdom and Pumpkin Graveyard. Unfortunately, I'm usually busy shooting during the Halloween season and rarely get a chance to go out and see some of the smaller haunts, much less edit the photos. It wasn't much different this year. I did manage to get one short article about some newer local events, but also drove around to a few home haunts. Perhaps next year.

I'm told that Guest Relations is still looking for some lost souls, ETA 3-5 business...years. They may be returned just in time for the 75th anniversary.
Some favorite shots from the annual cast-member exclusive Grizzly Peak Halloween Carnival. Every year, a committed group of cast members volunteer their time to turn Grizzly Peak and the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a walkthrough haunted house/maze with a new original theme each time.

"Ghost" Town Alive pt. 5

"How poetic for a miner with nothing to mine," was the caption for Flint's photo in this year's Ghost Town Alive article. Always an experience photographing Flint. This is the least scary person I could've done, but it certainly lent the kind of absurdity that encapsulates Ghost Town Alive. In fact, this is probably the closest thing I shot to the image I was envisioning when I suggested the idea of a Calico spirit photographer. Flint's silly grin in the background is entirely what I'd expect the "ghost" performer to act like.

While not quite as unsettling as Teddy's photo, there's something about this bank photo that feels a little foreboding. This is also yet another shot where what I assume is the reflected light off the subject streaks across the room, as if Cornelius had floated into that spot for the photo.
