A butt, a bug and a flower. That's what's on the menu for this hot and humid Friday.

Sorry. I like big butts and I cannot lie. 🤷‍♂️

I gathered 3 rules from ancient stoicism that I believe could help you out. They did me.

1. Control what you can - it sounds simple, but it's the hardest tenant of stoicism and the basis of it if you ask me. What's outside of your control is out of your hands and doesn't deserve your anxiety.

2. What stands in the way becomes the way - every step in life is a learning experience. The new issue you have is your newest one. Embrace that and learn to deal while calm.

3. Action over debate - stop talking about how to be a good man and just be one. Debate is important but it truly is the action that defines the basis.

Thanks for checking this out. Doing this content is a little fun so I may branch out on different things with this format. Thoughts would be appreciated and the ones I've gotten already fuel the continuation 🩵

Let's chat again today.

We've all felt it, and some older men feel it because that's the way they were taught to care, to love, to show emotion.

This is a pretty huge issue, and there are tons of avenues today for you to take advice from to help you get to where you need to be.

Don't hunt those things down on that bad day, but when the bad day hits just do things you enjoy until it's time to rest and then force yourself to sleep.

Wake up, breathe in the air and know it's a better day because you made it through the last hard one. Use the rehab time to tell yourself ways to avoid feeling that way again. You may have to do it a lot, but this is a heavy habit to break.

It'll come. Just have to welcome it for it to even be invited. 🩵

"Ckalumbrin" (cah-lum-brin) is a word created by Josh Peters during one of the many nights we spent goofing around as teenagers. Ckalumbrin was used as an expletive, took form as a screen name someone close to me uses online, and an interjection when the mood was right. It evolved into "Ckalumbrinko" eventually, and saying it with the right timing would make us laugh so hard for zero reason. You know what I mean.

This is Ckalumbrin Cascade, a beautiful cascading waterfall situated pretty deep in the Daniel Boone named in honor of Josh Peters who passed away in July 2022, and for myself and my friends that continue using the word. Haven't named a waterfall personally because you have to be careful, but this one felt perfect and I think I deserve it and know Josh does.

Great geology here too so I know I'll return in 20 years and stand there laughing at what Josh and I used to get into. I could go on for days.

See ya at a leeter deete, man. ❤️

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. Use the month for the right reasons. Take the atmosphere of the words you know that friend of yours that's hurting has heard, and ease into providing them a comfortable space to talk about what's going on in their mind.

Also, hold other men accountable and not just this month. This isn't a month for the people that cause mental health crises to garner sympathy; it's one for the people affected to know they're loved and cared about.

People die because people don't talk. Reach out and talk to someone whether you need it or not. Talk about how you're feeling lately, and describe to yourself or that person what's made you feel that way.

You are not alone and there is always an ear ready. Reach out if you're feeling lost and reach in if you're feeling like you're ready to stomach your issues.

It could save a life, friend. 🩵

Here are some raw phone shots from one of Kentucky's largest and most lush naturally occurring arches: Hall's Hollow Arch.

An absolute beauty to witness in summer with all of the greens and the shadows cast by the treetops.

Kentucky, doing it again. 🩵

If anyone could go ahead and contact a police officer over this frog's fierce speed, that'd be appreciated.

This is the Northern Cricket Frog (Acris crepitans). It's one of the smallest vertebrates in North America at around .6 to 1.5 inches in length.

This is a tree frog by description as it belongs to the family Hylidae, but their toe pads are so small that they can barely ever climb anything and prefer the ground.

This little feller was absolute ZOOMING around to get away from us to observe. These frogs have been recorded jumping 5 or 6 feet in a single leap and they utilize a zig-zag pattern to evade their capture.

One last fact: these frogs do not croak, they instead make a noise that sounds like two glass marbles smacking together.

My favorite thing about this frog was the bright green stripe down it's back that makes a small triangle on it's head. One of the coolest patterns I've seen on a frog!

Thanks for checking this out and learning with me today!

Thought this was a cool moment: Zach and I locking lenses while floating down Garner Branch to the waterfall it houses as Skylar and I paddled towards him.

Hope everyone's having a good week!

Here's Zach taking in Mystery Falls. The size of this lakeside gem is insane. This is the waterfall that taught me about our waterfall and arch databases. After I saw a YouTube video on this waterfall, I made a bee line straight there and the rest is history!

The first time I ever came here, I saw a barred owl guarding the entrance and also got my first photo of an owl in the wild.

Nothing short of nature's best tucked into this pretty little cove.
