I’ve been working on something I really wish I had when I first started photography.

When I began, I had no idea how to turn photography into a real business. I was figuring out everything on my own — how to find clients, what to charge, how to build a portfolio, and honestly… what I was even doing half the time.

Every day, there are people in our community making a difference.

The teacher who goes above and beyond for their students.
The nurse who cares for others during difficult times.
The coach who encourages and inspires.
The volunteer who gives their time without expecting anything in return.
The neighbor who is always there when someone needs help.

These people deserve to be celebrated.

That's why Simple Roots Portraits is launching the Community Heroes Project.

Each month, one local hero will be selected to receive a complimentary portrait session and digital images as a small thank you for the positive impact they make in our community.

✨ To nominate someone, simply tag them in the comments and tell us why they deserve to be recognized.

Teachers, nurses, first responders, coaches, volunteers, veterans, community leaders, and everyday heroes are all welcome to be nominated.

Let's shine a light on the amazing people who help make our community such a wonderful place to call home. ❤️

Simple Roots Portraits is looking for models to showcase new additions to the Client Closet!

Needed:
• 1 XS
• 1 M
• 2 L
• 2 XL

📍 Cast Park | Kentland, Indiana

Selected models will receive:
• Use of a Client Closet dress
• A short modeling session
• 5 edited digital images

In exchange, participants agree to allow images to be used for marketing, social media, website, and promotional materials.

Session Date: June 7th

Time Slots:

🕖 6:50 PM – M
🕖 7:10 PM – L
🕢 7:30 PM – L
🕢 7:50 PM – XL
