Saturday night we got to go out and do some event photography out at McCoy’s Tavern in Olympia. What an amazing time, and absolutely excellent show. Come see them live and say hi May 9, at the Capitol Theater. And if you need photography or videography for your show or project we’re looking to work with more local bands!

Today we got the call from that our .lighting Storm 1200x came in and immediately had an idea for testing it out. We had a ton of fun, they got some great shots, and the light is absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to start filming with!

Testing some super high contrast/low light shots for some horror stuff we’re working on and decided to get some gear shots while we’re at it. Running the 4D and NTG5 shotgun mic, plus a CT12 tripod because sometimes you need to put the Ronin down for a bit 😬

Caught the Washington State Ferries Chelan on her way to Anacortes as we headed out to Orcas Island for the weekend. Then she carried us back a few days later while we sat out of the freezing wind.

The birds have been pretty quiet lately but they were out and making all kinds of noise today. Went out and did a little bird photography for lunch. Almost managed to get some ravens to come in but they were content to just sit and watch

Almost have all the pieces in place to start diving jnto some projects, just a few more things in transit. The Ronin 4D might seem like overkill for a lot of things but the ability to toggle between stabilized and handheld with a quick switch is amazing. And you can throw it on a tripod if you feel like it for some reason
