✨ A Fairy Garden Come to Life ✨

I have been so incredibly blessed this summer to photograph engagement sessions and weddings in some truly breathtaking places.

This park in Lansing felt like stepping straight into a fairy tale. Everywhere I looked, there was something magical—the winding vines, the stone pillars, the flowers tucked into every corner, and the sunlight filtering through the trees.

As I wandered through the gardens, I couldn’t help but feel like I had somehow stepped into Queen Dowager Clarisse Renaldi’s gardens of Genovia. Every path felt enchanted, every turn revealed something beautiful, and the entire place seemed to glow with its own little bit of magic.

Days like this remind me why I love what I do. Not only do I get to document love stories, but I get to explore places that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world for a little while.

Thank you, Andres & Amanda, for letting me be a part of your fairy tale. 🤍 I am so excited to capture the next chapter of your love story, and I cannot wait for your wedding day!

What a truly magical day it was. ✨🌿🧚‍♀️💐🏰

Sir Thorn and Lady Amanda ⚔️✨

I am so excited for their wedding next year!

Their wedding is going to feature little hints and touches of Lord of the Rings throughout the day—which explains the swords. Out of all the sessions I've photographed, this was my first one that involved both a sword fight and a knighting ceremony, and honestly, I was completely here for it.

As the sun dipped lower and golden hour wrapped the field in the most beautiful light, Lady Amanda knighted Sir Thorn. It felt like something straight out of a fantasy novel. Between the swords, the laughter, and the way these two looked at each other, it was pure magic.

I'm not going to lie—I got a little teary-eyed watching it all unfold. Moments like these are why I love what I do. Getting to step into someone's story, even for a little while, and capture the things that make them them is such an incredible honor.

If their engagement session was this magical, I can only imagine how amazing their wedding day is going to be. 🤍⚔️✨🍃📖

Zack and Mack 🤍

I couldn't have picked a more perfect wedding to photograph on my birthday weekend.

Their day was filled with so much love, laughter, family, and fun from beginning to end. They were married in the most beautiful fairy-tale garden at Mackenzie's aunt's house, creating a ceremony that felt straight out of a storybook.

The celebration continued at her grandmother's house, where family and friends gathered to enjoy a pig roast, a Bud Bar, and an evening full of memories.

I even got the chance to photograph part of their portraits from the creek—and I definitely wasn't complaining. On such a hot day, I was practically looking for an excuse to get my toes in the water! It made for some beautiful photos and was one of those little moments that made the day even more memorable.

It was such a joy to be part of a day that felt so genuine, relaxed, and centered around the people who matter most. Congratulations, Zack and Mack—thank you for letting me capture such an incredible celebration! ✨

My first Indigenous wedding! 🤍

What an incredible honor it was to be a part of such a meaningful and beautiful day, and at the breathtaking Petoskey State Park no less.

Every detail made this day even more special—the dress, the rings, the traditions, and of course Maeve, the officiant who helped bring this beautiful ceremony together. Being trusted to document such an important celebration and share in these moments is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

It was truly an honor, and I can only hope I have the opportunity to experience and photograph another day like this again.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of such a beautiful story. 🤍

Tucked away in the middle of the woods at a children's youth camp, Jon and Rachel's wedding felt like something straight out of a movie.

They had the most beautiful Friday ceremony, with the lake peeking through the trees beside them. Everywhere you looked felt peaceful and magical. I couldn't help but feel like I had somehow wandered onto the set of The Parent Trap. Growing up, that was one of my favorite movies, and honestly, it still is.

The entire day was filled with so much love, laughter, and the kind of moments that remind me why I do what I do.

And of course, no perfect wedding day would be complete without the most beautiful flower dog. Wearing an adorable pink bow collar and carrying herself like the true star of the show, she was absolutely convinced we were all there for her.

Who am I kidding? We were. 🩷🐾

Jon and Rachel, thank you for letting me be a part of such a beautiful day. It was one I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

Like I said, I've been busy! 😂

Up next are Braden and Danielle.

I've photographed a few barn weddings over the years, and I'd love to do more, but I can confidently say I want to go back to this venue. Tucked away deep in Amish country and surrounded by miles of horse pastures and woods, it felt like a little slice of peace. Honestly, it was so beautiful and quiet that I wanted to run out into one of the fields and just lay down for a while.

And the weather? We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The sun shined down on Braden and Danielle from start to finish, wrapping everything in the most beautiful golden light.

I know that for Danielle, that sunshine meant even more. Watching it break through and shine so brightly felt like her father was there, looking down on them and celebrating right alongside everyone else.

Braden and Danielle, thank you for letting me be a part of such a beautiful day. It was truly one I'll never forget. 🤍

You know, not many people get the honor of photographing their own sister's wedding, but I did.

I've known Kasey since the day she was born—obviously—and I've known Nick since he was a junior in high school. Watching their relationship grow over the years and then getting to document one of the biggest days of their lives was something truly special.

The Sweet House Foundation was the perfect venue for them. It felt like stepping back in time, with all the charm and character of an old historic home. It was so perfectly Kasey and Nick.

If you know Kasey, it will come as absolutely no surprise that she made her own wedding dress. With a Master's degree in costume design, creating something beautiful with her own hands was second nature to her. And while I've photographed a lot of wedding dresses over the years, I can confidently say hers was the most stressful one I've ever had to handle! The pressure of being responsible for a one-of-a-kind, handmade masterpiece was very real.

Kasey and Nick, thank you for trusting me with such an important role on your wedding day. I love you both, and it was an honor to celebrate and capture this chapter of your story. 🤍

Hello, long time no chat!

I know some of you probably thought I fell off the face of the earth, but I promise I haven't. Life has just been life-ing a little harder than usual, and I've been incredibly busy (which I am so thankful for!).

A few weeks ago, I was hospitalized for a week, but I'm doing great now and slowly getting back into posting again. This year has certainly been the toughest and most rewarding year of my life, and I truly believe we're on the up and up.

And what better way to make a comeback than with these cuties?

Meet Ian, Taylor, and sweet baby River. Despite the cold temperatures and the wind whipping across the pier, River handled it like a total champ. He was all smiles, full of personality, and completely stole the show.

I'm so grateful to be back behind the camera, capturing these moments and sharing them with all of you again. 💕

As kids, we're taught not to talk to strangers. As photographers, sometimes that rule goes right out the window when you spot the cutest baby horse on your way home from a wedding and just have to stop and ask if you can take a few photos!

Thankfully, Nikki was incredibly kind and said yes.

This handsome little c**t was only about two weeks old and already full of personality and spitfire. He kept his mom on her toes, running circles around her the entire time, while she seemed completely unfazed—just standing there with the expression of a mom who's thinking, "Okay, kid, do your thing."

Watching the two of them together was such a treat. Between his curious nature, endless energy, and those long baby legs, he made for the perfect model. Moments like these are exactly why horses will always have a special place in my heart and why equine photography is something I don't think I'll ever be able to give up. ❤️🐴

Sometimes, when life starts lifing a little too hard, it's nice to slow down and appreciate the beauty that's already around us. For me, that often means picking up my camera and going back to where it all began: horses.

I absolutely love photographing couples and weddings, capturing love stories and life's biggest milestones, but horses will always hold a special place in my heart. They were my first passion, the reason I fell in love with photography in the first place, and something I don't think I'll ever be able to fully walk away from.

So, I hope you don't mind me breaking up the wedding and couple posts every now and then with Scout and her little donkey boys. 🐴❤️ Sometimes a girl just needs a horse fix, and honestly, these guys make it pretty hard to stay away from the barn.

No matter where this photography journey takes me, equine photography will always feel a little like coming home. ✨
