It’s finally October, which means fall in Louisiana is getting that much closer! We may still be waiting on those cooler temperatures, but the fall vibes are officially here.

This time of year is perfect for fun, playful sessions full of personality, and this little one definitely understood the assignment!

The silhouettes against that deep sunset pull you in immediately, but it’s the way they’re leaning into each other that gives the photo its emotion. There’s so much warmth in the color, so much calm in the water, and just enough mystery in the shadows to let you feel the moment instead of simply seeing it.

Pure team energy. The bold school colors and the volleyball net immediately tell you where they belong, but it’s the movement and expressions that make the photo feel alive. I love the way the warm fall tones, layered textures, and greenery frame him without taking attention away from the moment. Warm, relaxed, and completely centered around family. The soft backyard setting and golden light give it that comfortable, everyday feeling, while the way everyone is gathered close makes the image feel naturally connected. I love how each personality comes through: the little one tucked in close, the easy smiles, and of course the pup front and center looking like an official member of the portrait. It feels genuine, familiar, and full of the kind of moments that make a house feel like home.
