Memorial Day weekend came and went in a flash! I traveled with my brother to a little RC track in Osage City, KS called Hillbilly Raceway. It was a very nice, family-oriented track, with nice amenities. There were several familiar faces from my home track and we all had a great time! Here are a few of the photos I was able to snap that night.

While out watching the fireworks from celebration at the station, I got to meet a crew from KCFD and got to snap a few pictures of them and their truck. They even let me climb up and sit on the top too. Thanks KCFD Rescue 1!

Second race weekend is in the books for me at Checkered Flag R/C Raceway. An overcast day actually helps the colors on the cars pop! I love that so many racers like the photos I take, and if anyone reading this, downloads any photos from today’s racing action, I’d appreciate being tagged.

The 2026 RC began today at Checkered Flag R/C Raceway. 110 cars were entered today! This season I will select a few of my favorites to share from each race day. To those of you who race and follow me, I’d appreciate a tag!
