This morning I got to meet the cutest guy. Claire Ellison‘s Denny finally had her c**t. Hope to get some better photos tomorrow when he gets to have some outside time, it’s hard getting photos in a stall! Love to see a first time mom doing a great job with a big healthy baby.

It has taken years (actually since I first got my big lens), but I finally got one of my favorite birds for the first time. These guys have evaded me for forever, but a pair that have been sticking around the property finally got brave enough to stop by the feeders. Even though they did side eye the blind the entire time, they stuck around for a couple minutes. It definitely solidified my want for pet doves in the future 🕊️.

Camera is fixed and back, 3 new bird feeders, first time with a photography blind… time to go crazy with bird photos 🤪
Went out this morning and took photos as long as I could before my fingers no longer worked from the cold, excited to go back out tomorrow.

Last photos for a little bit, as the camera is getting sent in for repairs and cleaning. Having issues and photo quality is going down fast, but this has happened before and an easy fix (just takes a while to get the camera back).
I’m glad I finally got to get some photos of the birds at the new property. Unfortunately the ones there aren’t as brave as the ones at home and my sitting in a chair with a jacket on method isn’t working too well, purchasing a blind is probably in my future.
