Reminiscing is strange—it can feel like longing for a life you’re no longer living, but it can also be a quiet nod to the parts of yourself you’re proud of. I’m choosing the proud version today.

This photo takes me back to the days when I worked just so I could wander, push myself into discomfort, and spend hours with my camera learning light, angles, and patience. Days that taught me that being alone isn’t emptiness—it’s a space where you stretch, evolve, and meet the version of yourself you didn’t know you were growing into.

And maybe this new year is a reminder that those parts of me are still here—waiting for me to pick up the camera and explore the unknown again.

The road through the Highlands was so beautiful we couldn’t just keep driving. Between the rolling green hills and the shimmer of the water, it felt like the landscape itself was asking us to pause. So we did—pulled over, stepped out, and tried to capture a little piece of that magic before moving on.
