Escuché una vez el dicho, “México es donde estamos los Mexicanos” y aunque suena como una simple frase, me tocó el corazón. Los Mexicanos somos trabajadores, amantes de la cultura y la música, creadores de futuros y sueños, y aunque Mexico esté lejos, traemos un poquito de nuestra cultura a donde quiera que estamos; es tan bonito el poder compartir nuestra cultura en un lugar que también es nuestro hogar. I had the privilege of speaking this weekend at the for their exhibition, “Olmec Origins.” For those in Illinois, if you didn’t get to form part of the scavenger hunt, you can now view ALL 33 heads in one location. It was such an honor to paint alongside so many artists, to learn from them, and to work with them on new projects.
