The federal government has closed public roads on YOUR PUBLIC LANDS across Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument right here in Arizona. They’ve closed the road to Quitobaquito Springs to prepare to build a second border wall across Organ Pipe land.

Contractors hired by the government have begun bulldozing land less than 3.5 miles east of Quitobaquito in the monument. Four machines have been seen creating what appears to be an expanded staging area there.

A second border wall could destroy the springs, which are an important cultural site for the Hia-Ced O’odham and Tohono O’odham. Dozens of indigenous burial sites could be disturbed. It is also habitat for three endangered species, including species that occur naturally no where else on Earth.

How do we know they’re fine doing this? They’re already doing this at Big Bend National Park. See real time updates of the destruction at No Big Bend Wall

Congress can stop this. Email your representative. Call them. Our deserts across the Southwest, and the species that call them home NEED your voice.
