A quick phone snap of my daughter Aspen, up in the mountains where we live. There’s something raw and honest about kids in nature—the way their curiosity comes alive exploring flowers, rivers, and little critters. In this moment, she was peeling off her wet socks after playing in the water, wanting to feel the earth beneath her feet. Moments like this remind me that we’re meant to live connected to these wild places. It’s clear when you see kids completely immersed, with no thought of screens or gadgets—just the wonder of the world around them.
