✨THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING ME✨

Let’s have a little photographer-to-client chat. 😂

First things first: I am NOT a light & airy photographer.
I’m sorry to disappoint the beige-loving girlies, but that’s just not me. 😂

I like my photos moody, colorful, warm, and full of personality. If there is color in your session, I WILL find it. I WILL enhance it. And I WILL make it pop.

But before anyone panics—NO, I’m not turning you orange. 😂
NO, I’m def not making you look like a ghost. 👻
And NO, your skin is not going to look like you spent three hours in a tanning bed.

I aim to stay as TRUE to color as possible while still giving my images that Ember & Bloom moodiness that makes them mine. I like to throw a few creatives in your album just for fun.

And here’s the part some people may not realize:

When you book a photographer, you’re booking THEIR ART.

You’re booking their style. Their editing. Their vision. Their creative eye.

You’re not booking me and then sending me a Pinterest board asking me to edit like five completely different photographers. 😂

And RAW files?
Respectfully… absolutely not. 😂

RAW images are unfinished files. You’re paying me to create the finished artwork—not hand over my digital negatives.

Thankfully, I’ve been extremely lucky with my clients and have never had anyone come at me over my editing. I’ve only had one person ask for RAWs, and I politely said no.

So if you’re looking for bright, white, blown-out, light-and-airy…

I might not be your girl. ✌🏼😂

But if you want COLOR. MOOD. EMOTION. RICHNESS.

At Ember & Bloom Photography, I offer end-of-life pet photography sessions for families who want to preserve the memories of their beloved companion while they still have the chance.

These sessions are gentle, relaxed, and completely centered around your pet. Whether it’s capturing their personality, the bond you share, their favorite place to cuddle, or those little details you never want to forget, my goal is to create images that you can treasure forever. 🤍

I know this is an incredibly difficult time, and I want these sessions to feel less like a traditional photo session and more like simply spending time with and loving your pet.

Mr. Brighton has been my lil baby model since the very beginning. I met Destini and Taylor when I first started my photography journey. I have done several sessions for them and I am just grateful to know people like them. They are always so nice & helpful during sessions. They are such great parents. A huge THANK YOU to Erin for choosing Ember & Bloom Photography to capture your wedding day! It truly means the world to me, and I can’t wait to be a part of such a special chapter in your life. 📸✨

This booking makes my third wedding, and I officially have two weddings of my own scheduled in October! 🫶🏻

I’m also so excited to be second shooting with a fellow photographer on September 4th at The Brim in KCMO, which is another amazing opportunity to continue learning and growing in wedding photography.
