๐ธ I need your thoughts!
A while back, someone reached out and asked if I had ever considered mentoring teens who are interested in photography. Since that conversation, I haven't been able to get the idea off my heart. I've been praying about it, and the more I think about it, the more excited I get.
I'm considering starting the His Glory Photography Student Photographer Mentorship Program for teens (approximately ages 14โ18) who have a passion for photography and want to learn in a hands-on, real-world setting.
This wouldn't be a classroomโit would be an opportunity to learn alongside me during actual photography sessions and experience what it's really like to be a photographer.
Students would have opportunities to:
๐ค Shadow real photography sessions
๐ท Learn camera settings, lighting, and composition
๐ See how I pose clients and help them feel comfortable in front of the camera
๐ฟ Get a behind-the-scenes look at preparing for and running a session
๐ฅ๏ธ Possibly learn some editing techniques as scheduling allows
โจ Build confidence, creativity, and skills through hands-on experience
My hope is not only to help students become better photographers but also to encourage them, answer their questions, and invest in the next generation of creatives.
Right now, I'm simply seeing if there's enough interest before I begin planning all the details.
If you have a teen (or you are a teen!) who would be interested, leave a ๐ธ in the comments or send me a message. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
And if you know someone who might love an opportunity like this, I'd be so thankful if you'd share this post. ๐ค
