There’s two things lately that have been on my mind…
A photograph isn’t real till you can hold it. Print it or shoot film, make it something real that you can touch.
You won’t be showing your grandkids a 40 year old hard drive that doesn’t work.
Secondly, film is becoming a normality to me. Creatively we all get burnt out, film somehow elevates this. Maybe it’s knowing the image isn’t numerical sensor data but actual photons of light.
From here on, I’m incorporating film into my look,
Of course digital has to stay, obvious technical advantages make it a necessity. Film can’t do it all, but it can do things digital can’t, and thats the way it looks.
