The following photo was made possible by the grace of God & the kindness of a deacon & priest.
Right before the ceremony started, the church lady told us that no photos were allowed during the ceremony, which brought the bride to tears right before she walked down the aisle. No one had informed her about this rule.
That broke my heart.
The best approved alternative was to shoot through the side door windows & back of the church glass windows.
Something made me move to the front of the church, where there was a back door leading to the altar, which would allow me to better capture Chantal + Marc's faces.
BUT the deacon saw me. AND when the church lady left, he beckoned me to come sit beside him during Mass to get a better angle. As the service went on, he encouraged me to tactfully move around the altar to get better shots.
At some point, the church choir began singing "Ave Maria" & I was moved to tears by the generosity of both the minister & Father.
It was truly a miracle & gift & awesome flexibility & skill set of my 2nd shooter Jon that the bride & groom have beautiful shots of their wedding ceremony.
