The wonderful folks at Art in Oregon chose a few pieces of my embroidery artwork to be included in their The Ghost Show!! An opening reception will held on September 23rd, with the show going on throughout the month of October. The show will take place at the Mary Elizabeth Gallery within the Stevens-Crawford Heritage House Museum in Oregon City 👻🦇🖤
📍The Stevens-Crawford Heritage House In Oregon City, Oregon is located on the ancestral homelands of the Kalapuya, Atfalati, Ahantchuyuk, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians land.

I too have taken photos of this exact grave stone at Riverview cemetery. it is a wonderful cemetery to explore (respectfully of course). 👻 This embroidery design was inspired by the gravestone at Riverview cemetery and by the original artwork by (go follow them, their artwork is amazing, so amazing I have yet to get my hands on any as it sells out so fast!). Annoyingly the material puckered a little, but I am not a machine so imperfections are gonna happen. 🦇🕸💀🪦
📍Riverview cemetery sits on lands that were ceded under duress between 1848 and 1855. The land throughout the Portland Metro are is located on the ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla, and other indigenous nations.

Three of Swords. I am not in tune with Tarot and the meaning of the cards, and didn’t look up the meaning of this one until starting this piece. But given the new normal we now all live in (sometimes merely surviving) - “unhappiness, heartache, sorrow and sadness” they seem to have become constant companions to some degree in daily life.

Not creative, but very much needed for my mental health! A good friend and I loaded up our day packs and our puppers- little Abby and big Abby, and headed to Milo McIver State Park. Sooo very fortunate to live so close to this gem. Little Abby did pretty good for her first 5 mile hike. 🐶 #

A few months ago, the wonderful folks at Danse Macabre agreed to carry some of my art for purchase in their store, stating off with prints and blank notecards! Today I was finally able to drop off some framed photos.
