Next week, as I send my youngest off to school, 3 days a week I will be joining him and the rest of the students in the hallways. I have joined the staff at Heritage Christian School as a teacher's aide and as part of the Emotional Support Team. This is a position that is near and dear to my heart. The Lord has shown and taught me, through my own children, how wonderfully complex and different He has made each one of us.....each with our own strengths and weaknesses. I am so thankful for all of the advances in education, for the understanding that all children are capable of learning but that we learn in different ways. I am thankful for the alternative learning strategies, for the accommodations and for the sensory breaks. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made. I am looking forward to getting to know the students at Heritage, to assist them when it is needed, in whatever capacity is needed, and to see the gifts and abilities that God has given them. I pray that God will direct and lead me in whatever is put before me, so that I can be used to help these students see how wonderful they are.
Having said that, I still hope to be able to continue doing photography but I will be accepting less sessions, especially in September and October. Currently, for those, months I am virtually booked. If you had intended to reach out to me for a session, and haven't yet, you still can and I will see what I can do.
