Here's a shot from Smugglers Notch on 23 year expired film. Film processed over in Burlington. I'm very excited that the snow and frigid temps are leaving us!

I've been asked a couple times, "do you always go out with a specific scene or topic in mind when you shoot?". The answer is no. Sometimes I'll just be walking around, see an area and take a couple extra seconds to see what else is there. This is one example. There was a pile of material outside one of our offices and I noticed tiny little flowers growing next to it. So I ran and got my camera. Stop and soak in a scene. It's amazing what you'll notice with a couple extra minutes. Shot with the Nikon Z6 and a 105mm macro lense.

Winters Bloom No.2
The frozen remains of Queen Anne's Lace. Shot on 23 year expired film. I'm loving the grainy, vintage look of old film.

Let's keep on with the expired film shots this week. This is the bridge connecting Orr's and Bailey Island in Maine. Built in 1927 due to the original bridge being washed away. They went with the Lincoln log/waffle style to allow the waters to pass through easily. So many fond memories here.

Another vintage shot with the Minolta and 23 year expired film. The film scans came back pink and I have no idea why. The film was in the camera when it went through an X-ray machine and it was submitted in the ocean. Maybe that's the reason? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Photos like this really make me yern for the old summer days being a kid.

Like the little hermit crab here, you need to step out and get some fresh air. Which is exactly what Jenn and I did for a week in Costa Rica. With corn stalks gone and snow falling, I yearn for the vibes of fall. Beautiful colors and crisp fall air is what I love. Digging through the vault I came across a photo I took off the rail trail. Shot on 15 year expired B&W film with my Minolta SRT100. Developed and scanned by the lovely people
The only thing I adjusted a little was the light and dark. I wanted to keep that nice expired grainy look.
