I’ve had a lot going on the past few weeks, between work and spending my time editing photos from portrait shoots, I haven’t had the time to edit photos from my fall trip out to Fort Mountain State Park a couple weeks ago. Today I finally took the time to sit down and process the images, I’m really happy with how they turned out.

This was one of the most colorful foliage years in recent memory, I was in awe the entire trip of how beautiful the sceney was.

Here is some images I captured of a horse in the morning fog. As you can see, he went to shake as I was taking the photos. I took these out on Rock Creek rd and I decided to go with a more moody edit for kind of a spooky feel.

Got out this morning to see what I could photograph.

The these images were taken from Monument rd, looking towards Dawson county. This area of the sunrise was so interesting. Such deep and rich color was cast behind the two mountains. I was using a 600mm telephoto lens, cropped in to 900mm, to capture the images. It almost looks like the sky is on fire!

Got out this morning to see what I could photograph.

The 1st three images was taken from Monument rd, looking towards Dawson county. This area of the sunrise was so interesting. Such deep and rich color was cast behind the two mountains. I was using a 600mm telephoto lens, cropped in to 900mm, to capture the images. It almost looks like the sky is on fire!

The next 2 images are from monument rd as well, this time looking towards downtown jasper. You can see the town real small in the first image and a more zoomed in on the 2nd image.

The last I captured was a couple of Turkey vultures in a tree on Jones Mtn in Talking Rock.
