This isn’t one of my professionally taken photo, but it’s a picture I truly needed to see. 🌾☀️🤍
The past few months have been incredibly difficult for me and for the people closest to me, including John and the kids. There have been a lot of moments where I’ve felt overwhelmed, emotionally drained, exhausted, and honestly like I’ve been falling short in every direction. 🌿
I’m not sharing this picture just to show that my daughters are helping and supporting me, although they absolutely are. 🤎 I’m sharing it because this moment reminded me of something I think I’ve lost sight of lately.
Most people don’t see the quiet weight that comes with being a mom, especially during hard seasons. Even when you’re sick, mentally exhausted, or feel like you have nothing left to give, motherhood doesn’t pause. 🌼 There are still lunches to make, laundry to fold, tears to wipe, comfort to give, and little hearts depending on you every single day. 🧺✨
So when my daughters saw that I was struggling and instinctively stepped in to help me without hesitation, it hit me deeply. 🫶🏼 My two youngest daughters, Everly and Eleanor, looked at me and said, “Momma, let us help you with that,” and I instantly felt tears fill my eyes. 🥹🌙🤍🌻
Not because they were helping with something small, but because in that moment I realized they were reflecting back the same love, care, compassion, and nurturing that I’ve tried so hard to pour into them all these years.
Even on the days where it feels like the walls are falling down around me, I still get these quiet little reminders that maybe… just maybe… I’m doing SOMETHING right after all. 🌞🌿
