This is my final project for my Raster Imaging class. The theme was surrealism so I chose this. The title is “Calm The Dark.” It is based off of a poem that I wrote of the same name which can be seen typed out in the background and used as an added texture.

It is supposed to represent the chaos that your mind can come up with in the dark when you’re anxious or stressed. Those surrealistic wacky nightmares you may sometimes get that often make no sense. The little girl is seen shushing these fears and chaotic distractions, that are beginning to make their way outside of her mind, in an attempt to find a sense of calm among them.

Overall, this was a really fun assignment and I found a lot of excitement in taking the individual photos and figuring out how to piece them together in to create the one ideal image that I had in my head.
