OVER-STIMULATED MOM:

Can we talk about the fact that moms get overstimulated and it’s mistaken for anger?

No, I’m not angry…
I’ve heard “mom mom mom” since the minute I walked in, the tv’s sound is on 88, the dryer is noisily clanging something around (and no-one notices it but me apparently), someone’s mowing their lawn in this wretched heat, my smart watch is dinging non-stop, my bra is too damn tight, my wild ass hair won’t stay in a messy bun and I keep pushing it away from my face, there’s crumbs on the floor and I can feel it under my bare feet…HOLD ON A MINUTE

Noooo I’m not angry…

I’m overstimulated and need a hot minute (or 30) to get myself together 😑

Motherhood is exhausting!
Adulting is exhausting!
No matter what, someone always needs you

Go to work, someone needs you
Go home, someone needs you
Go to the bathroom, someone needs you
Go try to eat, someone needs you
Go to sleep, someone needs you

PEOPLE…I’m not angry 🤍 I’m just grossly overstimulated

Let me collect myself before you start to accuse me of being in a bad mood.

AM I RIGHT? Rise up mommas,
clock out for 30 minutes when you get home. Tell your family that it’s your mental break time.

I'll always think of you and smile and be happy for the time I had you with me. Though we go our separate ways, I won't forget, so you don't forget the memories we've made.

•STRENGTH BULIDS CHARACTER•
Like this bloom, that will grow alive and beautiful...even pushing through the deepest, darkest, coldest dirty place. The people we meet with the most interesting personalities and the most refined values are VERY VERY often those who have been through the MOST difficult times. Imagine that your character is like a tulip bulb. With enough time, something bold, refined and brilliant will emerge. Though it is up to you to develop a positive value system that means what emerges is beautiful. REMEMBER-Grow where you are planted and head towards the light.
