There are some sessions where the location just feels meant for the person... and this was absolutely one of them. Summer reached out to me for a branding session to capture her work with Craniosacral Therapy and sound baths, and the Sunken Gardens couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. Peaceful, natural, quiet and tucked away from the rest of the world, it reflected the calming, grounded energy Summer brings to her work so beautifully.

This one feels a little surreal. I first met Braeden when he was only 5 or 6 years old, when I photographed him for the very first time. If you had told me back then that someday I’d be taking his SENIOR pictures, I’m not sure I would have believed you. And yet somehow, here we are!

One of the coolest parts of doing this job for so many years is getting to watch kids grow up through my lens. I’ve photographed so many little faces that have somehow turned into teenagers and seniors right in front of me. Braeden is extra special because he’s the son of one of my best friends.

It’s wild how quickly the years between “little kid pictures” and senior pictures disappear. These kids need to stop growing up so quickly!

Grandparents, grown kids, cousins... and one very loved little great-grandbaby. Four generations together in one place, and this is exactly why I will always encourage you to schedule the extended family session.

Listen, I know getting everyone together isn’t easy. Schedules are crazy, kids grow up, families spread out, and no one will ever say that family photo sessions are convenient or easy.

Hey friends! A little scheduling heads-up!

I’m having surgery September 10th, so for now I’m only booking sessions for October. Depending on how quickly I bounce back, I may open up a few September dates, but I’m not making any promises until I see how this whole “having surgery and being a responsible patient” thing goes.

Because of that, October is booking FAST. If you still need family photos or senior photos this fall, please reach out ASAP! At the rate my calendar is filling, I fully expect October to be booked within the next week or so.

Jaxson understood the newborn session assignment! When Mom said she wanted his newborn session to celebrate all things summer baby, we went ALL IN... poolside vibes, a trip to the beach, a little fishing. And because we are in Michigan .. Go Lions!

What’s more fun than shooting senior pictures? Shooting senior pictures while slipping around on the ice with light stands, camera gear, and absolutely no athletic ability to speak of.

Tyler kicked off the first half of his senior session at Optimist Ice Arena, and I knew I wanted these to feel a little different... dark, dramatic, and completely centered around a huge part of his senior year.

Was I graceful out there? Absolutely not! Was I questioning my life choices while trying to keep myself AND thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment upright? Possibly. But MAN... was it worth it.

Some of the most important photos we take aren’t about a milestone or a special occasion... they’re simply about this season of life.

The Dingee family came together to document the love, laughter, and connection they share... and those are the memories that only become more valuable with time. Kids grow. Families change. Life moves quickly. But photographs give us a little piece of it to hold onto forever.

I have been photographing Ava since she was TWO years old. She was actually one of my very first little clients when I was just starting my photography business, and I was devastated when the family moved away.

So when I found out they were coming back to Michigan for me to photograph her SENIOR pictures?! Talk about a full circle moment! And apparently that adorable little two-year-old grew up into THIS absolutely gorgeous girl.

Ava chose a dreamy, sun-drenched beach session for her senior pictures and I don't think we could have asked for a more perfect evening (That sunset sky is NOT AI!) Golden light, bare feet, beachy summer vibes, and a girl who made my job ridiculously easy.

There is something extra special about watching my newborn babies become the big siblings. I photographed sweet Amelia when she was brand new, and now she came back to my studio with a brand new baby of her own... her new baby sister, McKenna!

Let me tell you... Amelia has this big sister thing DOWN. The sweetest, gentlest, most loving little sidekick McKenna could ever ask for. She was so proud of her baby sister, and watching the two of them together absolutely melted me.
