This structure was once the Catholic Church of Volcano, California. It was built around 1869, and has since been turned into a private residence.

The good old town of Clinton, California.

Possibly my favorite shot of the Courthouse/Hall of Records. Likely taken in the late 1920s to early 1930s.

It was certainly prior to 1933, when the library building was constructed next door.

By 1939-1940, the two buildings were conjoined in a art-deco facade. Ending its originality and historical charm.

The Courthouse was originally built in 1863, after the original (wooden) structure was destroyed by the fire of 1862/1863.

The Hall of Records was built around 1897, 34 years after the Courthouse.

Take a look at the catwalk between the two structures, and the old Well in front.
