Hey everyone! I thought I would share my most recent painting "Golden" with you since it features a cub from one of my most popular photos. This is one of Blondie's cubs from the fall of 2023. Beautiful little cub with thick, golden fur and a curious little personality. I hope you enjoy!

The painting is a little 6x6 oil on gessobord.

Paper Wasp (I think??)

This isn't a typical post from me, but I purchased a macro lens a few (12) months ago and decided to finally use it. It's not as majestic as an elk or as cute as a fox, but it's still kind of cool, right??

Wasps get a bad rap. No one seems to like them, but they are genuinely an important "bug" to keep around. Paper wasps specifically assist in pollination by feeding on nectar, and they control actual pest insect populations by feeding them to their larvae.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed today's Ted talk brought to you by a quick Google search since my insect knowledge is very limited.
