๐พ๐ค LETโS HAVE A LITTLE HEART-TO-HEART, MAMAS.
Iโve been thinking about something for Christmas this year, and before I make any decisions, I really want to hear from yโall.
Growing up, most of us pictured Santa as a white man. Thatโs what we saw in the movies, the books, the commercials, and just about everywhere Christmas magic was portrayed. And while I donโt believe the color of someoneโs skin changes the magic they can bring, Iโve been thinking about how special it would be for little brown babies to see a little bit of themselves in that magic, too. ๐ค
My husband and I have talked about the idea of him being Santa for affordable Christmas minis at Dreamy Lens & Co, and honestly, the thought of our daughter getting to see her daddy bring that kind of magic to other children makes my heart so happy. ๐ฅน
I want her to grow up knowing that magic, joy, and all the beautiful things childhood has to offer arenโt reserved for one particular look. Every child deserves to experience the wonder of Christmas, and I think thereโs something so special about seeing yourself represented in the things you grew up loving.
AND LET ME MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR: EVERY CHILD, OF EVERY COLOR, IS WELCOME! ๐ค๐ค๐ค We arenโt taking away from anyoneโs Christmas magic. Weโre simply creating another beautiful way to experience it. There is room for all of us, and thereโs more than enough magic for every little boy and girl. ๐โจ
