Amy and I had the pleasure of seeing L'Amante by Beth Cavener at the Chazen Museum in Madison, WI. This artist blew us away. I tried a new scribble technique for these sketch studies. I feel like it gave my form a bit more looseness.

This took me a loooong time to finish. It's not much, but I'm very proud of it because it's my first serious attempt at drawing in the new medium of digital art. I learned a lot as I worked on this piece and I can't wait to take it into new pieces and discover what new things I can create and bring in to traditional materials.

I think the most important message is that it can be very daunting to learn something new, but it's incredibly important to try! You will learn new things; which in turn means that you'll learn new things about yourself and grow. Thanks again to Amy Ford for the Huion tablet. I love my new toy. 😘

My beautiful wife gave me a Huion Kamvas 13 art tablet for my birthday! Here's a gesture study I did. I don't know much about digital art, so there's a big learning curve, but I'm excited to learn and combine it with my other mediums!
