Tonight's haunt took us to The District Theatre for Maya Leigh Choreography's SHAPED: This is a stunning show; the audience went from sobbing to dancing and loved every minute of it. The dancers are incredibly in-sync and have clearly worked their butts off in the rehearsal room.

Sadly, I can't tell you to get tickets because they're totally sold out. Be on the lookout for their next show though!

Buck Creek Players is working on a simply perfect Pirates of Penzance for you!

I seldom see rehearsals but whenever I do, I'm struck by just how much -FUN- they're having. You would think that working on an unpaid project that requires almost all of your free time after working a 40-hour-a-week job would make you a tad grumpy but these folks are actually -ENJOYING- this?! It really makes me wonder why theatre companies aren't completely overwhelmed with people knocking at their doors to join in.

BCP opens their next show August 27th. They've been working on this show together for a month and they are STILL finding new ways to crack each other up. By the time you get there it'll be a riot. So click the ticket link in the comments and get your seat early.

Last night was a ghostly double-header looking in on two different rehearsals for upcoming shows. The second stop of the night took us to Footlite Musicals where the absurdly adorable Mrs. Ghost and her cast are preparing to bring you Pippin opening September 18th! It's still early days so don't mind the m***i, the costume plans are absolutely bananas.

It's not often we get this much of an inside-view of a show but from everything that Mrs. Ghost has told Mr. Ghost this one is going to be a dark and delicious delight and not at all your grandma's Pippin. Hit the ticket link in the comments to get your early seat to this one!

Next up in the haunt calendar, Wednesday night took us to The Cat for Carmel Community Players NATIVE GARDENS, opening Friday!

Dig the wonderful set, (dig? garden? get it?) CCP has really used space to great effect. The show is relevant timely and features a couple of talkbacks for those who want to dive deeper. Kudos too to the actors who deliver beautifully.

The haunt week began last night under a magnificent sunset with The Attic Theatre's production of Macbeth, opening tomorrow at Coxhall Gardens.

As usual, The Attic always brings such amazing vibrancy to the stage (no matter where it happens to be located) and this time they offer up a truly epic tale. I wish them all good fortune with the weather this weekend!

Last week was a wowzer so what -POSSIBLE- follow-up could we have for next week?!!? Good question.... ok, fine, let's DO IT again!

Monday evening's open, so you have your chance!

Tuesday we'll go see what great thing is going on in The Attic as they bring The Scottish Play to Coxhall Gardens.

Wednesday, it's gardens of a different sort with Carmel Community Players' Native Gardens in residence at The Cat

Thursday we'll REALLY get to Buck Creek Players for headshots and promo photos of the immortal, Pirates of Penzance

Friday it's a trip to The District Theatre for "Shaped" an intriguing dance program.

Saturday we'll look in on Catalyst Repertory for LOLCOW.

Sunday, it's a rare treat indeed. Have you seen those photoshoots they do for student athletes? All posed and generally badass with sportsballs and all those strong visual themes? Well, Greenwood wants to do the same for their thespians and we are ALL here for it. This is just the sort of amazing concept we're all in on.

Next week and the week after it's mostly Fringe. So if you haven't gotten on our calendar NOW is the time to do so. Lots of Fringe slots open for photo, video and general obsessive fandom from Indy's #1 ghost-themed photography and video service!
