Last year I came across the sweetest idea and I wanted to share with you guys.

After Christmas, stack all the cards you received on the kitchen table. Each night during dinner pick a card from the pile and pray over that family.

I love this for so many reasons!

Also, I LOVE getting your Christmas cards with moments we captured over the year. Thank you for sharing them with me!

I love capturing client photos. But capturing my MOST favorite people is what keeps me creatively motivated. Lately I've been playing with shadows and harsh light. It's fun to see how much more dynamic and emotive it makes the images.

I realized I have yet to post more than a picture or two from a family session. This is a good mix to show what you can expect from my family sessions. In our 30 minutes together I aim to get a formal group shot, candid group, wide and tight, kids together, individuals of each kid, each kid with each parent, and parents.

My sessions are only 30 minutes because attention spans are important to consider. My hope is that you and your family genuinely enjoy the time together and that the memories of our session bring joy not dread.

Family photos don't have to be stressful or hard. Relax and have fun with them and love on your family.
