The quiet before a baby girl arrives, when she is still known only in feeling and anticipation, and already so deeply loved. The way love expands in parenthood is unlike anything else, something that reshapes you from the inside out. There is a quiet instinct that begins to guide you, even when everything feels new and uncertain. Maternity holds both tenderness and intensity, one of the most beautiful and demanding experiences the body can carry.

I find myself drawn to maternity sessions more and more. Maybe it is the stage of life I am in with my own family, but these moments stay with me. They are soft and powerful at the same time, filled with emotion that does not need to be forced. First time moms, I see you. I am here for you. I see mothers everywhere I go, and I hold your stories with care, the same way I would hold my own. 🫶🏼🤍

Margaret… Meg… a true angel here on earth.

Looking back at this day, I can still feel the warmth and love she carried so effortlessly. The kind of presence that lights up a room and leaves everyone a little better for having shared it. Pure beauty, through and through. She is the kind of person who reminds you that kindness is powerful and that love has a way of touching everyone around it. Days like this stay with me long after the gallery is delivered. They remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place, to preserve the people, emotions, and fleeting moments that matter most. My heart is full thinking about all the beautiful weddings and stories I will have the privilege of capturing this year, and the incredible souls I will meet along the way. ✨😩

Okay but truly… y’all had to be there for this one. These two are so naturally intertwined it almost felt like I was third wheeling the entire shoot 😂 Every little interaction was soft and playful and effortless in the sweetest way.

Amber absolutelyyyy killed it, which surprised absolutely no one. She is beauty and confidence wrapped into one human. And Zack deserves his flowers too because the man understood the assignment. The way he loves on her, hypes her up, and looks at her like she personally hung the moon??? Sir. 😭🖤

These two are the kind of couple that make love look easy and fun and safe all at once. Just obsessed with them honestly.

Oh, Olivia + Hannah 🤍🥹

Olivia, to know you is to love you. It feels effortless, the way your presence settles into people’s lives and makes them feel seen and safe. I think about how grateful I am for Rachel so often, and being introduced to you is one of the greatest gifts that came from that friendship. It is the kind of connection that doesn’t feel accidental.

Watching your story with Hannah has been something I carry with me. There is a quiet strength in the way you love each other. It is steady, genuine, and full of intention. The kind of love that does not need to be loud to be deeply felt. Every time I am around you both, I feel it. It lingers in the room in the most beautiful way.

You have such a gentle way of making people feel important, of making moments feel a little softer and more meaningful. I hope you know how deeply you are appreciated, not just for who you are, but for how you love the people around you.

There’s something sacred about the moments just after the ceremony. The weight lifts. The timeline softens. The quiet joy finally has room to breathe. All the nerves from the morning, the careful planning, the tiny things that never go exactly as planned but somehow come together perfectly, settle into this gentle exhale.

I feel it too. During the ceremony, I’m holding everything, anticipating, watching, ready for each fleeting second. And on her side, all that love and effort poured into making the day unfold just right. Then the recessional comes, and as the wedding party walks out, there’s this unspoken feeling… we did it.

And then, my favorite part.

Just the two of them, newly married, stepping into a moment that finally belongs only to them. No pressure. No expectations. Just joy, relief, and that soft, glowing kind of happiness. We meet each other there, in that energy, and it becomes something so easy, so natural.

Those first portrait, they’re not just photos. They’re a quiet celebration. (Not me getting emotional all over again over this day)

Being front row for this day felt so special to me. Getting to witness and capture every moment, the quiet ones, the joyful ones, the in between, was something I don’t take lightly. It was a day full of emotion in the most beautiful, genuine way, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it.

Margaret truly glowed all day long. From the moment I stepped into the bridal suite and felt all the excitement and anticipation, to the way she carried so much joy with her through every part of the day, it was just beautiful to see. And together, her and Nick had such a calm, steady kind of love that made everything around them feel warm.

From beginning to end, it was a day filled with laughter, happy tears, and so many little moments that made it uniquely theirs. Watching them ride off into the sunset felt like the sweetest ending to a day that was already so full.

Some days stay with you for a long time. This is one I’ll always hold close.

Keleigh 🥝

I’ll say it again and again. Self love sometimes looks like rotting in bed. Sometimes it’s getting a mani, going for a run, or booking the photo session just because you feel like being that girl.

I had a phase where I stepped in front of the lens myself and the confidence it gave me was unreal. I’m so glad I did it because now I have those moments frozen in time to look back on. You couldn’t tell me notttthing. 🤭 and I just want you guys to feel that way too. (Now as a mom, those photos have become my little time capsule of that season of life. My “prime,” if you will 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️. I’m different now. My sexy is different. My perspective is different. My whole world is different. But it is still incredibly beautiful, just in another way) Now I get to create that feeling for other people and honestly that’s one of the best parts of this job. I just want people to see what I see.

Because the truth is you will never fully see yourself the way others do. The glow. The energy. The little things that make you you. Photography is the closest thing we have to that second person perspective.

My goal is simple. Bring out your confidence, your energy, your beauty and capture it in a way that makes you look back and think… dang. I really am that girl. Bc in all honesty YOU ARE.
