Saying goodbye.
This letter has not been an easy one to write.

For the past 10 years I have devoted my heart and soul into my work. I have captured some beautiful memories for families that will last more than a lifetime. I've enjoyed watching babies I've photographed as newborns grow into toddlers and big kids. Many of my clients I am happy to call friends. It has been a wonderful time of growing this small business.

But the time has come to close the doors on this chapter. As many of you know, when the pandemic started I had to cancel several sessions for the safety of both of our families.

I am thankful for all of my clients that I have come to know over the past several years and I thank you for supporting this small business and for the friendships made.

It is time for a new chapter in my life. As many of you know we launched a candle business in November and have been thankful for this candle business that has carried us through all the pandemic craziness. It’s been a whirlwind these past several months. A lot has changed but a lot has stayed the same. New things, exciting things have happened with our family. I’ve photographed a lot of firsts these past few months. It was bittersweet photographing what I thought was going to be my last Fresh 48 hospital session. But walking away after the session my heart felt heavy, I knew I was going to miss this. Then I ran into a friend and past client, Mandi, we talked and she spoke of her baby’s sessions I had photographed. Something has been pulling at my heartstrings to not stop photography, not yet. This is me, it’s what I am most passionate about, it’s what makes my creative heart happy. I am not ready to say goodbye. And as crazy as our life may be at times running both the photography business and the candle business, .1921candleco , I have decided to continue with photography for another year, maybe two. I hope everyone will understand. I’m just not ready to say goodbye and when my heart is telling me to stay, I’m going to listen to it. As for sessions, I have two newborn sessions to finish up this year, then I will be taking some time off to enjoy Christmas and the holidays. I am currently booking for January and January due dates. Thank you and thank you all for your kind words and support.
