The new 2027 West Virginia night sky calendars are ready to hit the printer! This is a collection of some the favorite night sky images I've taken over the last couple of years and includes Milky Way photos, moon-rises and some rare northern lights displays in the Mountain State. The dates also have meteor showers listed, moon phases and other astronomical events that can be viewed without a telescope.

I am currently taking pre-orders to be begin shipping early to mid-June!

Solar Eclipse and Diamond Rings - Delaware, OH

Back from Crozet Arts Festival in VA where this composite of the solar eclipse from 2024 was my best seller! It was good to check out a new-to-me area. This weekend I'll be heading to Delaware Arts Festival in Ohio where I was fortunate enough to view this event and I'll have more of these on hand, booth #20.

Damaged metal print sale!

Traveling on the road and Tetris-fitting everything into my Subaru clown car + me being clumsy, always leads to damaged prints over time. Here's a few larger metal prints that I need to get rid of. They're extremely hard to photograph, so the damage isn't super visible, and it's not super visible in real life unless viewed at off angles, but I tried to describe them in the photos.

Prices are non-negotiable and I won't ship unless you want to pay for it. I can meet you in Huntington or potentially somewhere else in WV along my travels. These are priced lower than most of my smaller metal print sizes, so it could be a great opportunity if you were hoping to get a larger size!

Lobster Buoy Tree - Eastham, MA

Lobster buoys are a ubiquitous part of the Cape Cod landscape. This is a section of a "tree" made from lobster buoy's in the town of Eastham, a year-round dedication to a local artist who erected a similar tree in his yard every Christmas and who passed in 2018.

I'm at the WVHighlands Artisans Gallery today and tomorrow 10:30am-5pm! The two large metals will be coming with me on the road if they don't sell this weekend. I'll have a couple discounted prints in their place after today.

The fourth workshop of the year is in the books with the conclusion of another Spring Wildflowers and Milky Way in the Greenbrier Valley with another fun group! We were treated to a colorful sunrise, two Milky Way locations and lots of Spring ephemerals. Looking forward to returning here in the Fall with Randall Sanger Photographyr when the area transforms again.

We have several spots open for the Fall workshop and I still have a couple left for the End of Summer in the Potomac Highlands in September.

I'll be heading into festival mode now. This weekend, I'm working the WV Highlands Gallery in Davis, WV. Come see me if you're in the area!

First Encounter, Last Light 2 - Eastham, MA

The setting sun gave way to distant rain, lighting up the horizon with sky fire, the drama reflected in the miles of low tide pools off First Encounter Beach in Cape Cod. Already looking forward to getting back here next year!

I've recently returned home from a successful workshop in our first year in Cape Cod with Randall Sanger Photography and another great group of folks. Unfortunately, dark skies were tough to come by on this trip, but we did manage one night out at the Nauset Lighthouse to play around with long exposures under the stars during a brief clearing after a banger sunset on the Brewster Flats. We will be doing this again next year, so stay tuned for the dates!

Currently, I'm looking forward to heading out this weekend for a workshop in the Greenbrier River Valley to check out some wildflowers and hopefully catch the Milky Way.

Lobster Pot Night Lights - Provincetown, MA

Another one from Provincetown at nightfall along Commercial Street on the waterfront. Retro neon lights at night are always a favorite and because this sign predates the 1985 zoning laws prohibiting neon lights, the Lobster Pot is allowed to remain and has been an iconic depiction in art for decades. Operating since 1979, Anthony Bourdain worked here in the kitchen out of high-school and featured the restaurant in Parts Unknown.
